I am Renu Dhar. You can call me Anshie. Friends and family do. I am a displaced Kashmiri Pandit refugee and my food and stories reflect where I come from.
I am a personal chef and chef instructor, classically trained with a deep connection to my Kashmiri roots. I enjoy traveling to deepen my connection with food and cultures around the world.
I love creating global food with fresh ingredients, robust flavors and incorporating wholesome ingredients in everyday meals (with the occasional sweet treats, of course). I am passionate about making cooking approachable, developing easy and nutritious recipes, as well as and finding tools that help make cooking fun and easy for everyone.
I live in Denver, Colorado with my husband who has the taste testing and night dishwashing duties and and my daughter who is unapologetically my biggest fan. When I am not cooking, I am either knitting or crocheting or reading the latest popular book for my book club.
